Highly inspired by Moved by Love friends, a bunch of us spent 2 hours surprising people with random acts of kindness.

Deshna, Carol, Ruchi, Kinjal from Anugraha and I decided to walk around Ghatkopar and spread a little Christmas Cheer. On Christmas Eve, we walked around nearby places from the Anugraha Office giving out Christmas Cards, Postcards, Balloons, Chocolates, Cakes and Muffins.

We stopped auto-rickshaws and gave the drivers chocolates. We put up balloons on road-side stalls so they look festive. We gave a balloon to a kid and after a while, when he saw us walking towards him again, he tried to hide behind his father’s vegetable stall :). Perhaps he thought we were coming to take the balloon away!

We stopped and climbed onto B.E.S.T Buses to give some chocolates to the bus drivers. We went up to unsuspecting old people who looked forlorn on the streets and handed out flowers and chocolates. Their look of surprise and shock has been the most rewarding. One old lady gave us some muffins back as her act of kindness and old uncle had tears in his eyes.

They were literally, ‘moved by love’ and almost thought we were weird but it was very rewarding emotionally. We all couldn’t stop smiling and feeling bubbly inside.

Try it, if you can spare some time from your busy schedule. 
Make someone you don’t know, happy, without expecting anything in return.

Believe me, it has been my best Christmas, yet.
