Let's Play Kinditude!

Posted by Deven Shah on Nov 19, 2015

Kindness and Gratefulness are like two wings of a bird. Kinditude is a board game that enables parents and teachers to help children flap those wings and learn to soar and spread love everywhere.

Kinditude is a cooperative game played with a dice. The "game path" is made of many squares shaped like infinity (the game never ends and everyone is a winner no matter how long you play!). Playing with the help of parents or teachers, children can learn to think, express and reflect upon various aspects of kindness and gratefulness.

Step 2: PLAY KINDITUDE :)
Before you can begin playing, you need to arrange for:
A Dice. In case you don't have a dice handy, please download a free printable DIY dice.
Coins to make your moves (can also use shells or big colourful buttons or different fruit seeds :)

How to Play
- You need at least 2 players to begin the game. More players would make it even more fun!
- Place all the coins in the middle at the START point.
- The youngest or the oldest one starts and rolls the dice.
- Move that many number of squares (as per the number you got on the dice) clockwise or anti-clockwise.
- If you land on a red heart, make an animal or bird sound with your mouth
- If you land on a blue heart, tell a joke or a riddle
- If you land on a pink heart, make a funny face
- If you land on a purple heart, do a little dance or sing a song
- If you are lucky and land on a smiley, pick a smiley card and go by what the card says!
- Place the smiley card you picked at the bottom of the pile so others do not get the same card any time soon.
- The game continues as long as you want to and there is no finish point!

About Us
Kinditude is co-created by ServiceSpace volunteers whose secret aim is to practice kindness and gratefulness in their lives with the excuse of learning with kids :) The idea was born at Startup Service, an event where people come in with a service intention, assemble teams, explore new possibilities with the lens of inner transformation and build a proposal/beta project to carry forward.

My nine year old son really loved playing this game and cherishes the Kinditude board that was gifted to him.
