Acknowledging This Blooming Noble Friendship!

Namaste!

Following is an excerpt of the Buddha's conversation with Ananda, a disciple...

Ananda - 'This is half of the holy life, lord: admirable friendship, admirable companionship, admirable camaraderie.'
The Buddha - 'Don't say that, Ananda. Don't say that. Admirable friendship, admirable companionship, admirable camaraderie is actually the whole of the holy life. When a monk has admirable people as friends, companions, & comrades, he can be expected to develop & pursue the noble eightfold path.'

The Buddha's concept of Kalyana Mittata or Noble Friendship has stuck with us since we first heard the story. It is not just a story we enjoyed listening to, but is something that has manifested in beautiful ways on our journey at KnowYourStar. We have realised the importance of having noble friends, who are a constant source of inspiration, support, and love.
Recently, when Nipun Bhai was in Bangalore, Jaideep received a token of love from him, sent by a noble friend- Hermann Gams, all the way from Dreamicon Valley! We were so touched by this gesture. It felt like the blessings we would receive from our family in cash on special occasions in a little envelope. And just like in that context, it was never about what the envelope contained, but the love, prayers and blessings that came with it, which made it so very special.


When we expressed our gratitude to him over this surprise, he had this to say -

"We appreciate you, your team and your project so much so it was a big wish to send you this symbolic support.
It´s just fantastic what you do & how you do it !

Katzi and me are  so grateful that it was possible to become part of this wonderful community and I am sure

that together we will create the world we dream of !


Keep going your wonderful path, looking forward to remeet soon...somewhere in the world !"

As usual, our buckets of gratitude (yes, we have graduated from cups to buckets!) are overflowing! Thank you for offering us a place in your friendship, giving us your time, and showering us with so much love from time to time. :)
