The Concept:

Objective Oriented Project Planning, which uses the Logframe ( LFA)  as the planning tool was already in use for over two decades now in the preparations of development proposals. Currently advanced forms of the logframe like the Result Based Management (RBM) is being used by development agencies for monitoring projects and tracking changes. NGOs and donors alike are called to prove with documented evidence that the resources provided are spent to bring about the desired results, and that these were planned results that will contribute towards the overall development of the community.

A well planned and creatively designed good proposal is what donor agencies are looking for. So what makes a good proposal? One attribute is appearance. A strong proposal has an attractive, professional, inviting appearance. In addition, the information should be easy to access. A second attribute is substance. A strong proposal has a well-organized plan for implementation. A strong proposal also has technical details because technical depth is needed to sell your project. Remember: A proposal is a persuasive document.  Out task during these 3 days of workshop is to learn to develop such a proposal.
