Financial Management for NGOs workshop @ KKID

We are happy to inform you that we are conducting 3-day workshop on "Finance Management, Budgetary Control and Taxation" scheduled on "23 - 25 October 2018".
The Concept:
Financial Management is crucial for the success of any organization, be it Private,government or non-government. However NGOs often do not consider financial management to be a priority and lack adequate financial knowledge. Very often NGOs work tirelessly towards implementing projects that cater to the need of deprived people and in this process do not pay enough attention to financial control. this practice makes the NGOs Vulnerable to financial losses. Putting in place a systematic procedure and having a policy on managing NGO finances is a good indicator for a credible organization. Donor agencies would be most happy to render immediate funding support to such NGOs which have systematic polices in place for effective financial management.
This workshop is designed to help organizations and development sector professionals in understanding the both legal and donor requirements about management of finances and its reporting. It will also help participants in maintaining the financial efficiency of the NGO through appropriate planning, controlling and monitoring of financial transitions.
This programme will focus on:
1. Legal framework of NGOs (Trust, Society etc...).
2. Principles of accounting & financial Management.
3. System for internal control and accountability.
4.Project budgeting & budgeting control.
5. Financial documentation and reporting.
6.Method of financial reporting to donors.
7.Legal compliance with FCRA and home ministry.
8.Latest on Taxation GST and NGOs.
9.Dos and don't s in NGO finance management.
Meet the Resource:
C.A. VITTAL RAO LOKARE, is a Fellow Member of the “Institute of Chartered Accountants of India”, practicing in Bangalore. During the long career of 25 years, he has been extending his services as an auditor to many corporate as well as NGOs covered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010.
He is also the auditor for many International Resource Agencies like Basic Needs, UK,. Every Child, UK.- liaison office in India. He has done Financial Consultancy services to International NGO’s like Christian Aid, London UK, Bread for the World, Germany, Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund, Glasgow, Scotland, KNH - Germany. He has also undertaken many international assignments in Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines and Sri Lanka for European Donors.
He is a much sought after resource person and has conducted several training programmes, seminars/workshops in Finance Management, FCRA, Taxation and other statutory requirements for various NGOs and religious institutions in different parts of India and for the past one decade and more he is a regular faculty at Karl Kübel Institute for Development Education at Coimbatore.
