Introduction:

Sustainability is the talk of the day and for  NGOs fundraising and resource mobilisation is the spine of sustainability.  Be it from a foreign donor agency or local resources including CSR, fund realization becomes easily possible when the asking organisation is known. Very often proposal are rejected due to the fact that the applicant is very little known to them or in the near vicinity, meaning to say they have poor visibility.

In this age of computer and internet, the moment an application or request letter is received, immediately the tendency is to check and verify the credibility of this asking organisation. Gone are the days of confidential calls and letters, when it can be got with the click of a mouse.

Over the last few years, social media has emerged as the medium of communication for reaching out to a wide range of audience globally. Today there is a plethora of such media sites and applications that are being used by various organisations to connect across the globe, within fraction of a second.  We do hope to support NGOs to understand this and use this platform to make themselves visible.

This training is therefore aimed at :

• Helping  NGOs to improve the visibility of their Organisation.


• Improving the capacity of NGOs to build quality visibility tools. 


• Putting in palace appropriate communication tools and techniques within the NGOs to tell people what they are doing.


• Putting in place appropriate documentation and reporting system.


• Training   to use social media to enhance NGO visibility.
