  Cooking With A Grateful Heart

A Sunday this month, a few cousins and me invited and hosted our immediate and extended family members for dinner. That went straight into everyone's hearts :) It was a gathering of many firsts! For the first time, we youngsters took the initiative of meeting and inviting the family members over dinner. It was the first time we all came together to cook. For some of my cousins, it was the first time they even held a knife, so cooking for 50 people was a unique experience :) It all started... read full story

After Two Hours Of Listening, A Perfect Little Act

I'm currently at a unique university, an inclusive campus where 46 speech and hearing impaired students graduate each year. I have been doing one on one sessions with these students to get clear on their goals, have a reality check of where they are and have a plan in place for next three months. Every morning, I made it a practice of setting the intention in my heart of "May I be instrument for them to get what they need right now." And for the last two days now, I am seeing fe... read full story

  What An Incredible Day!

What an incredible morning! Just wow! I am really amazed by the last morning of 2013. It’s a blessing to be able to spend this morning in such a beautiful way :) We reached the nearby park at 7.15 am with thermos of chai and bottles of lemonade with us :) We sat on one bench and started filling up glasses slowly. At first people were really confused. Questions like what's going on here? who are you guys? what cause are you supporting? which brand are you promoting? started popping u... read full story

Seeing the Extra ordinary in The Ordinary

The Moved by Love retreat this September had a beautiful theme woven into its gentle yet expansive being. As 40 beautiful pilgrims from across the country gathered to meet each other in 'Maitri', cultivating deeper friendship and understanding, with the bhaav to transcend the meeting of kindred souls with a deeper understanding of what binds us together. What roots are interconnecting us beneath the surface and what stirs within us to engage with each other in the spirit of 'Vasudeva Ku... read full story

  Diwali Diwali!

Inspired by Kavita aunty we thought of doing clothes distribution on Diwali this time . We spread a message and a small video through all possible means. We forwarded this message by putting just darpan's contact number. Soon in 2 days the list of contact numbers had reached to almost 12-15 of them volunteering to collect and distribute clothes themselves in different areas through out Mumbai. We just asked people to share whatever they had in abundance with some people who don't have... read full story

A session with His Holiness The Dalai Lama

Got a wonderful opportunity to hear to his holiness The Dalai Lama. So I thought I should share with all my friends what he said as it was only for Somaiya students. I have tried writing what he said but obviously not his words. I may not have been able to cover everything but have tried to convey what he said. He spoke for some time on beyond religion. He started his talk with generation difference. He says that we are of 20th century and now it’s time for most of us to leave this body... read full story

  Faith in Universe

Just like the earlier smile gathering; this smile gathering was again totally amazing and different. For me, this gathering brought a lot of gratitude. I feel so blessed for these amazing connections with all of you. I feel this gathering was all about making my hope and faith on this universe stronger and to feel these words of hope and faith from deep within my heart. Before the gathering while discussing the seed questions I felt like hope and faith are same. But our friend universe is awesom... read full story

  Love blossoms on independence day

‚Äč Unlike every year when we would criticize the government or enjoy the holiday of Independence Day by sleeping, this 15th August we decided to celebrate the day as a smile day. So went out in the morning at 7 am with a thought of creating something wonderful together. We just moved out of our house with a smile to make someone else smile.   I was wishing to connect to an elderly person for the past couple of days. And as we walked in the park, we met this 92 year old Grandfather. We h... read full story

  Friendship Day in Mumbai

'Friendship Day' has been gaining significance in the city of Mumbai over the last few years. We usually celebrate it in school, or college by spending time with friends, or tying 'Friendship Bands' or Bracelets around each other's wrists. Inspired by our recent 'Generosity Internship' at Moved By Love and the beautiful Seva Cafe weekend in Pune, we thought of stepping things up in our own way :) During a session with the the children that we've be... read full story
