One month back we were anonymously gifted with few Flip Video cameras with a smile card. “Just keep spreading smiles and share stories” the mail read.

This was not the first time when we were overwhelmed by random kindness, few years back we were tagged with a 3000$ expensive video camera by a complete stranger and thats how our personal journey and later birth of MAM Movies happened. With great gifts come great responsibility, the effect was so profound on us that we decided to do what ever little we can to use media for social change and transformation.

Currently we are working in Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad, India. The opportunity naturally came to use these small but very useful cameras to capture stories of local communities.Our new intern Shradha Narayanan from Symbiosis college, Pune came up with a beautiful project ‘One shot thought’, where she gave the cameras to children from leper community and to our gift economy rickshaw driver Uday Bhai. Effort is to empower them to share their stories of love and kindness. Smiles are now unstoppable )
