Gifting the Gifts

During Joy of Giving week somebody "anonymously" gifted us lot of very beautiful children books in Moved by love space. It definitley felt gift of love as somebody literally emptied their library and I am sure those books held lot of childhood memories for the person who gifted them.

Our first natural response was to share it further in Manav Sadhna school in Gandhi Ashram, where children from the most poorest family come. However when we spoke to the teachers and children in that school, their immediate response was to gift it further. So all the 120 children in that school made a hand made card each and wrote a heart felt message like ” Dear anonymous brother and sister, I recieved this gift and would like to share it further with you”. These books were then tagged with a smile card to the children in Riverside school, which is a public school and children come from affluent families. With the help of Riverside school teachers, the children were so delighted to receive these handmade cards and books that they promised to keep the circle of sharing going.

When we asked the Ashram children on what inspired them to give, they naturally replied ” we are feeling so happy with the opportunity to give because we have always received so much love and support from others.”

In the end, nobody really gave and nobody received…it was joy of "connectedness" which every body felt.
