Grassroot Ladders

“Over the past two days in Ahmedabad, I’ve learnt a principle, that was constantly re-iterated – simplify things in your life & focus on love & trust to build a passionate, motivating & supportive community around you.” Shared Divya, one of the 16 ICICI Fellows who visited Moved By Love space for 2 days last weekend. This fellowship program is supported by Ivolunteer where they select youth from all over India who would later work for various social causes. Instead of just connecting them with various organization leaders we invited them to spend time with grassroot ladders (lokmitras or friends of people as we call them), the experience was transformational, as each one of them connected with head, heart and hands. This is what another fellow Kamiya had to say about it, “I was really impressed by Gopal Kaka, who is 86 years old and still highly enthusiastic to bring a change in society. His passion and commitment towards the community has really motivated me a lot.”
