Volunteer Role: 'Online Story Teller'

Seva Cafe: Seva Cafe is an experiment in 'peer to peer' generosity. Driven by volunteers and operated by a modest staff, our meals are cooked and served with love, and offered to the guest as a genuine gift. To complete the full circle of giving and sustain this experiment, guests make contributions in the spirit of pay-it-forward to those who will come after them. In keeping this chain going, the generosity of both guests and volunteers helps to create a future that moves from transaction to trust, from self-oriented isolation to shared commitment, and from fear of scarcity to celebration of abundance.

Online Story Teller
Seva Cafe is a 6 day / week restaurant in Ahmedabad. The space itself hosts a lot of stories and journeys of transformations, both for the people serving behind the counter and the ones receiving the gift in front of the counter. Selected stories from these blogs will also be featured in the monthly MBL newsletters to ripple out more smiles and positive stories in the world.

Details: Volunteers applying for this position must have attended at least one MBL retreat, served at least 1 MBL retreat and must have volunteered to serve at Seva Café at least three times within 3 months. Strong writing skills are required. This responsibility will require 4-5 hours per week.
