Here's a brief summary of what we discussed on the call :

Around 12 of us got together to share stories from our personal journey’s and our local eco systems.

Meghna opened the call with a brief summary of our last call where we had the editorial team share their experiences of posting the monthly MBL newsletterwith love, every month. All the efforts and dedication of the team poured out on the call and it was incredible J

She shared a wonderful video of Jayesh bhai, as he was unable to be on thecall that day due to family commitments. Jayesh bhai shared how he see’s all of us as friends and wanted to be there on the call, yet he was also pulled towards being with his mom. He also feels like he is a mother to all of us. He shared a message, Kishan had sent him on Ram Navami – Kaushalya asked Ram on his return to Ayodhya, “ Did you kill Ravan?” to which Ram replied,” I didn’t kill him, his ‘I’ did.” “ Ravan’s arrogance, pride and ego killed him.” Jayesh bhai shared the importance of ‘me’ to ‘we’ very beautifully through this example. ‘Me’ divides while ’We’ unites.

He also shared a wonderful story of Lord Mahavir, who was sitting under a fruiting tree one day. Some children came by and started throwing stones at the tree in order to get the fruit. One stone happened to hit Lord Mahavir as well. The children were apologetic and quickly came running to him to ask for forgiveness. With tears streaming down his face, he told them that he was not hurt by the stones they threw, but rather he was hurt by the fact that, when they threw stones at the tree, the tree gave them fruits. Yet, when they threw stones at Lord Mahavir, he was unable to give them anything. Such was his love and compassion.

Jayesh bhai further spoke on the importance of Sangath with reference to the Gita. Self purification not only helps one but also all those around us. The purity of thoughts, word and deed are extremely important to oneself and the society.

Audrey shared how she was visiting her Mom in Boston recently and a few others from the community were also in Boston and so they decided to host an Awakin J. Her family was surprised that how did she find these people everywhere! For Audrey she was delighted that wherever she goes, it is hard to miss the spirit of Ssp and Mbl and magic always takes place J what with Karma kitchens recently taking place in Dubai, London, Burgos, Pune etc! She also completed another beautiful Laddership circle recently.

Aabha just got back from a month long travel to south India and was sharing how wonderful it was to be with the farming community. She was dealing with a few questions related to her work and suddenly found the missing link as to our connection with the soil. She also hosted a few Awakins during her travels with her host families and also shared how it was amazing that for 5 weeks, someone else held space for Awakins in her home while she was travelling. A true blessing :)

Bhumika shared how she had acquired a little artist bug from Ahmedabad and was thoroughly enjoying herself creating hand made gifts for the retreats. She was also grateful to watch the ‘Ram’ side of herself as well as the ‘Ravan’ side she shared, and acknowledge both as a dance within.

Harsh shared how he was travelling recently to the north and was happy to Visit Divya and Ashish in Bir. He also recently started hosting Awakin’s at his home in Bangalore and enjoys cooking for everyone. The recent Awakin reading, ‘ Relationships are supposed to make you conscious.’ Gave him a lot of insights and answers he was looking for. He also shared how his listening skills have deepened through Awakin’s :)

S2 ( Sheetal Vaidya) who was running through technical issues on the call, shared how the last 2 months have been a roller coaster for the family with Neerad’s health. She was very grateful on recollecting how Neerad’s doctor came into their lives. During her Bhaav yatra, Pratyush had connected her to Datta from the Anand Ashram in Kerala. There she met a wonderful couple who had told her that their son was a haemotologist in pune. During Neerad’s treatment, while they were looking for good doctor’s she happened to remember about this couple and called them and By a stroke of faith, their son turned out to be the one of the rare 2 best Doctor’s in India who could treat Neerad!

Jignasha shared how she was so happy to be on the call and how she always felt inspired when she read posts on Service space and heard of the laddership circle’s. Wisdom art was so inspiring to her and how little moments of goodness are holding all of us all the time. She shared how we all were so interconnected and she had really wanted to see Neerad before his hospitalization and yet could not. She remembered Harshida aunty during Nipun bhai’s walk and so did an act of kindness wherever she was as she remembered Neerad.

Madhur shared how clowning was such a blessing in her life J She had visited a hospital, where one little girl was very sick. As madhur started singing the song. ‘We shall overcome.’ This girl also joined her and started singing along. The nurses were shocked as they said that the little girl had not spoken at all in the last 2 weeks! The next time Madhur went to the hospital, she was in for a surprise as the little girl had transformed and was on her way to healing pretty well :)

Neeti shared how her Awakin circle in Nigdi was such an amazing social capital for her! A 76 year old ‘Baa’ who was a regular at the circle every Tuesday would now pray thrice a day for the well being of her Tuesday family as she felt that if something happened to her, this family would reach her faster than her blood relations J She shared how a man asked his master,” I don’t understand the Gita?’” his master replied,” The cover says it all, The harness is in Krishna’s hands.” That way she too felt that all was happening through divine will.

Kishan shared how he felt blessed to be in the midst of everyone here and he reminisced about his journey into the eco system. He was so grateful to Jayesh bhai for being such an inspiration in his life and he felt so connected to all J

Meghna was excited to share how her mom called her up and asked her how to explain the alphabet to kids in Gujurati. When Meghna asked her why, she shared how she had started volunteering at a kids daycare to teach gujurati and she was really excited about it. For Meghna this was a huge gift from her mom and she was so happy for her J

Sheetal Sanghvi shared how he was recently at Siddharth’s place and had the opportunity to spend two days with his ‘inspirational hero’ Satish Kumar ji. He had heard of him 10 years ago at Nipun bhai’s place and wanted to meet him ever since and was overjoyed to meet him in person in mumbai last week. A message he left him with was,” Whatever you do, make sure there is Ananda (joy).”

We also had a lovely surprise from Neerad bhai, who inspite his health, joined us for sometime on the call J He humbly shared about the grace and blessings from the universe that enveloped him and felt that it was the collective’s prayers and metta that had brought him so far on his healing journey. He felt the highest interconnectedness with all and it was incredible for him to witness all that was emerging.

As each one spoke of our interconnectedness and how deep our connections go, I couldn’t help but remember Pavi’s wonderful poetry on interconnectedness, ‘I double dare you’ which speaks so profoundly on how each one of us is so deeply connected with the other :)

Looking forward to our next call soon!

Jai Jagat!
