Yesterday Jayesh Bhai and atleast 10 others were sitting together in Swagyan Mandir with a few 'contractors' who were to come on board to construct another epic dream for our extended global family :))) (Which most of you will see it ready this winter) Amongst the 11 of us, there was a sevak who took care of the Swagyan Mandir, a musician who is nurturing that soil with his love and dedication, an architect who has thought of the layout with some phenomenal thought through process from his heart, a farmer of the Swagyan mandir, the secretary of Ashram Trust, a teacher at the PTC college, an intern of the Ashram Trust and a little mouse wandering around in the premises :) This is exactly how he introduced the '2 contractors' sitting with us in the circle :) It wasn't an introduction alone, it was his way of inviting the two new family members into the ecosystem and connecting them with all of us in case they had any difficulties while they tilled our soil (literally).
JB opened with a beautiful analogy - Bhantar (Education), Gantar (Values), Ghadtar (Growth) and Chantar (Building the Foundation) are such important pillars of any space/project/process in implementation. While the first 3 involved all of us (in the circle and in the making), the 4th one (Chantar) was the space these two brothers were going to contribute in. In the literal sense too :)) JB made their addition in the family so special and beautiful.
He also made sure that there was a temporary toilet built for them so that no worker defacated out in the open. He made sure they got a space to rest during the day when it gets hot, and when they would like to take the break. Requested them to allow us all to be a part of the labour's process when the bricks were being laid and more. And above all, talked about how the practice of safai, not chewing tobacco / smoking in the premises and throwing plastic in bins will eventually become a habit of the additional working contractors. Which is not only better for their health but for the overall collective in the world too :))
I was reflecting - when we bring in contractors to work for our premises, we literally talk money/time and work. What we forget is conversations of connecting with them on a human level, or even taking the time out to connect with them. And here, they were treated as the most important people in the room. Now that I think, they were the most important people in the room, because they were going to lay the foundation of this new dream brick by brick with their hard work, perseverance and sweat! When a work of Bhakti is to be manifested in physical space, JB turned no stones unturned to make sure that every process of this construction was any short of praying in a temple!
Looking forward to the epic creation. I'm sure there will be more stories to come around this and more!!
