May Peace Prevail On Earth

For past few years in Fuji Sanctuary,Japan, a worldwide network of people had been joining on May 22nd to resonate across the planet a wave of infinite peace and joy through prayers. Our very dear ‘Moved by Love’ family member Yuka Saionji has been part of these group prayers for world peace through Symphony of Peace prayers group

To support this beautiful cause and be in universal energy, a small prayer ceremony was held in Gandhi Ashram , Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Dear friends of peace, organizers, and participants in this year€™sSOPP and peace prayer gatherings:

I can find no words to express my deep admiration and respect for you today.In the midst of your busy daily lives, you followed the voice of your heart and made a special effort to prepare for this Earth-changing, peace-prayergathering. What noble, precious beings you are! From the bottom of my heart I can never stop thanking you!

I have been told that this year, SOPP and peace prayer gatherings are being held at more than 23 countries around the world. If we include Global PeacePrayer and Meditation Day events, the number of countries rises to 43. How happy and proud I am to be able to join hands with all of you today!

Your existence and your activities are unleashing an amazing wave of peace-consciousness that is spreading through the world, becoming the hope of humanity and the mainstay of the Earth€™s future. I can clearly feel that, thanks to the unshakable will and existence of people like you, who live on a high spiritual plane, peace will indeed become a reality in this world.

As you know, the Symphony of Peace Prayers is an inter-religious peace prayer event that transcends all differences in creed or spiritual traditions.I believe that this underlying principle, which forms the essence of theSymphony of Peace Prayers, springs from the sacred source of the universe and holds the potential for changing the world in ways that are beyond ourimagination.

I am truly awed by the high, vast nature of your shining peace-consciousness,and by your sublime efforts to embody the spirit of peace in this world. The next few years, leading to 2015, will be very important ones for humanity and the planet Earth. We are now approaching a turning point, where the whole world will have to make a shift toward a more spiritual way of living. This shift is made possible thanks to your work and your existence.

One important step toward this turning point was experienced with the earthquake that occurred in Japan on March 11 of this year, high lighting the tremendous risks involved with nuclear power plants and nuclear waste disposal. The recent disaster has served as a wake-up call not only for theJapanese, but for all human beings, urging us to take a close, hard look at the direction we have been taking.

Thanks to these happenings, we have been given an opportunity to give serious attention to the connection among human beings, and to the need for showing love and concern for one another and forthe world of nature.

The time has come when each human being must make a choice. Each one of us must decide what aims we should be living for, and what the worldshould be like in the future. Today, you are making it possible for many people throughout the world to make wonderful new choices, choices that will lead to peace and healing for the earth and all living things.

Once again I would like to tell you how happy and how proud I am to be able to join hands with wonderful people like you in creating a bright new futurefor each person, each country, and the planet earth. Although we may be separated physically, we are perfectly at one in our hearts and minds.

Now, let us join together in sending out the infinite energy of our peace prayers to all parts of the world. May Peace Prevail on Earth.
