Feeding The Animals

Lahar Mehta
1 min read
On our night walk, we just met Rajesh, a computer engineer who feeds close to 50 dogs and 35 cats on his way home from work, every night. Making his way from Prabhadevi to Andheri, he reaches home to his own dinner only at about 1 30 am. Having followed this routine every night for 25 Years, Rajesh says once he feeds an animal, it will assuredly turn up the next night. He makes sure he is there, because he cant see them go hungry... What an inspiring, invisible act of service! :)... This experience made me see the value in consistency and seeing his joy in this act, made me realise how important it is to practice following your heart, however 'difficult' or 'inconvenient' it may seem.
